Is The Congressional Black Caucus Helping With Real Issues?

While we have black folks dying in the streets of America, getting Electrocuted While Black, we have clowns at the Congressional Black Caucus not getting along with the new president.

AAPP says: I have been trying to understand why the Congressional Black Caucus and Barack Obama seem not to get along. Candidly, this appears to be a case of "old USA negro self-hatred vs new black political thinking and doing."

Outgoing Congressional Black Caucus Chair Rep. Carolyn Kilpatrick, D-Mich.,

The Congressional Black Caucus announced new leaders without mentioning President-elect Barack Obama until asked. Members disputed the notion that his historic presidency would affect their profile or their role. Read more at African American Political Pundit.com

Black Folks Dying In The Streets - indeed.

Black folks getting "electrocuted in the streets....and dying?????

The reason why your site and general ideology proves so frustrating to me is that you violate my PROPORTIONALITY filter.

Of the over 7,000 Black folks who were VICTIMS OF HOMICIDE in 2007.....how many of them were Tasered to DEATH?

Let's be clear - Afrospear affiliate- your concern IS NOT that the Congressional Black Caucus is "not getting along with the president" (elect that is). This has never been a problem previously.

Your problem is that the group of 100% Black Progressive-Democrats in the CBC have ANY differences with the Black Progressive President who will soon take office. They are to unify and form a united front - spanning the Legislative branch with the Executive branch.

Where as such an alignment between the Republican president and the Republican dominated congress of a few years ago was called a "breach of the balance of powers" by some in the media.......we will soon see that for some the only issue is that "THEIR GUYs" were not in power over the monopoly.

Why doesn't it bother you more that these same CBC Members and the elected president come from districts where the Black homicide rates are greatest?

You all practice "boutique activism" where your advocacy against the killing of Black people is so compartmentalized it rendered into a nonsensical stance when put in the context of the REAL THREATS to Black folks.

You are not against "the Killing Of Black folks. You are against the killing of Black people by THE AUTHORITIES. If one nameless Black kills another....no big deal. The killer adds value to the Black life lost in your book.
